AACCA

Welcome to the Alabama Association of Child Care Agencies online.

"We are a non-profit association of private member agencies. Our members provide for children in foster care or at risk throughout the state of Alabama. We are committed to assuring the best and most appropriate care and prevention services for children in the current cost conscious human and health services environment."

Our site has two basic goals:
  • To help visitors become informed about important issues concerning services to children in need.
  • To enhance the ability of member organizations to work together in efficiently pursuing the best interests of children.

A personal note from the Executive Director of the Alabama Association of Child Care Agencies:

I have been the Executive Director of three foster care / family service agencies in three states (including Alabama) and now as ED of AACCA. I've had my share of ups and downs in the service of children. From my experience, I want to share just a few thoughts on the relevancy of AACCA. First, I ask you to please consider the following statement as quoted from AACCA’s Strategic Plan:

Vision: The Alabama Association of Child Care Agencies (AACCA) envisions a true public and private partnership that enables foster children to reach their fullest potential.
Mission: AACCA will act as a united voice for Alabama agencies to promote a quality system of care for all foster children.

"AACCA is a united voice for all Alabama Children in care."

Established in 1976 and chartered on December 21, 1978 as an Alabama non-profit corporation, the Alabama Association of Child Care Agencies (AACCA) is a service oriented group of agencies, professionals and individuals in the child care and service field committed to providing quality prevention and care for children and youth in Alabama who, for one reason or another, are unable to live with their parents or who are at risk.
